When you apply for a position listed on our Job Search page you'll receive an email confirming receipt of your resume. Our Human Resources representatives will then evaluate your qualifications and contact you with next steps if you're selected to move forward. Can you tell me if a job has been filled?
Generally speaking, positions that appear on our Careers Web site are open and active, even though the interview process may have begun. If you do not see a particular position, it has been filled or we are no longer seeking candidates for that position.
I saw a position that would be perfect for one of my friends. Can I send the job to her?
Definitely, and we encourage you to do so. At the bottom of the job description, click on the "Send this job to a friend" icon. You'll then be prompted to enter your friend's email address, your email address and a brief message. Click "Send," and our friend will receive an email with a direct link to the job page.
A Reliant employee referred me for a job. How do I check the status of my referral?
You will receive an email confirming your referral and inviting you to visit our Careers Web site to create a Career Profile and to register your resume for the position(s). You will then be contacted if your resume is identified as a match. Please note that to be considered for a job opportunity, you must register your resume for a specific position on the Web site.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
Click the “Register Your Profile” link on the Job Description page. When you reach the logon screen, enter your user name and click "Forgot Your Password?" We'll send a new password to you at the email address with which you registered; you can then use the new password to log on.

We invite you to complete the online Vendor Registration Form. Your organization’s information will be maintained in our "pending review" database, which we review annually. Why did Reliant Resources change its name to Reliant Energy?
The name change, effective April 26, 2004, was intended to align our
corporate name with our brand name.
Did Reliant Energy's name change affect my relationship with the company as an investor?
The name change did not affect your relationship with the company. No action
is required on your part in connection with the name change, and your rights as
a stockholder will not be affected by the name change.
Reliant stock can be purchased through a stockbroker, bank or any financial

Does Reliant Energy sell stock directly to the public?
No, we do not have a direct investment program at this time.
How can I safeguard my stock certificates?
By taking advantage of the company's direct registration service, you can
return your stock certificate(s) to the company's transfer agent and they will
safeguard your shares in book entry form. This will eliminate your need to hold
